Yes, it's The Sun. But bear with us...
Media Trust have joined forces with The Sun to offer 16-21 year olds the chance to write their own column with the support of some of the Sun’s top journalists, including seasoned political columnist Trevor Kavanagh and Bizarre Editor Gordon Smart.
So, yes, it might be The Sun but how often do you get the opportunity to write for the UK's biggest selling daily rag?! In their words...
"We’ve launched a quest across the country to find undiscovered talent who deserve to take the title of Column Idol 2010. The hunt is being supported by rapper Dizzee Rascal and singer-songwriter Diana Vickers.
Column Idol Hurry, the competition closes midday Monday 9 August!
Those judged to have the best six ideas will receive training and mentoring to bring their creative idea to life, write their own column and pitch it to a panel of experts. The overall winner will have their column printed in The Sun newspaper for all to see. The competition is specifically looking to support young people in England who feel their voice is unheard and wouldn’t usually have access to an opportunity like this."
CLICK HERE to enter, or if you prefer to apply by post then print the application form HERE.
But hurry! The competition closes on Monday 9th August!

If you're interested in hiphop and street dance, why not check out Dance For All in Bournemouth & Poole?? They say:"DFA is an urban dance company founded by Christella Mavris in 2004. We specialise in commercial styles of street dancing from beginner level upwards but also touch on other styles such as contemporary and traditional break dancing. We are also the only company offering training in the styles of 'House' and 'Waacking' within Bournemouth and Poole. We have developed several professional partnerships over the years ranging from Film Producers to Musicians and strive to provide opportunities for everyone who wishes to be a part of our work.
DFA stands for “Dance For All” which is a summary of the company’s intentions: to provide opportunities for all those who enjoy dancing and are interested in learning it. We have run many successful projects in the last several years including ‘Outside-In, Anti-Bullying Production’, ‘Urban Streetz’ and ‘The 4 Elementz.’ We are always working on new events and collaborating with other people within the arts field including musicians, graphic designers, editors and producers of many descriptions.
We currently run open classes in the central parts of both Bournemouth and Poole learning routines and techniques of the genre. If students enjoy this and wish to progress to a more professional level, we also hold auditions for our junior and senior dance crews. If you want to learn more, please feel free to contact Stella with any questions."

An interview will then be held, discussing the H&S policy, appropriate behaviour in school. The placement will be monitored throughout, with Mrs Evans as point of contact throughout. An exit interview will be conducted to review the placement. The school will not take ex-pupils, as it is felt this does not always work in either's best interests.
